Finishes

Chrome (Polished) is a finish that has been around the longest and is the least expensive. It is a hard shiny finish

Brushed Nickel is a matte brushed finish that is a combination of silver and gold. This is one of the most popular finishes today and is the most uniform between companies. However Moen is sometimes more golden. Delta calls their brushed nickel finish, stainless which is like their kitchen faucets.

Oil Rubbed Bronze is a dark rich brown finish that varies from company to company. Delta/Brizo has a darl brushed look with copper peeking through, Kohler has a black look with copper at specific places, Moen/Showhouse has a lighter brown coppery finish, Grohe is a rich brown finish, Danze has a coppery brown finish.

Aged Pewter is a gray black with some gold making it look old. Moen & Delta have this finish.

Brushed Bronze is a matte golden finish and is available in Kohler. Showhouse also has a brushed bronze finish but it has more of a copper look.

Stainless is mostly found with kitchen faucets. It is a finish that coordinates with Stainless Steel appliances and sinks. There is some variation between companies but they are all a matte silvery finish. Some have golden hue’s to the finish but generally it is mostly a gray look.

Distressed Nickel is a gray black finish from Danze. It is designed to look old and differs from aged pewter by staying in the gray family.
