Improve Indoor Air Quality & Safeguard the Air You Breathe
Did you know that the air inside your home could be up to 100X more polluted than the air outside? In fact, the EPA has named indoor air pollution as one of the top 5 environmental risks to public health.
FACT: A sneeze can travel at up to 100 mph and send 100,000 germs into the air!
All indoor air contains 3 types of indoor air pollutants - Particulates, Microbials and Gases. Breathing contaminated air puts the health of you and your family at risk. In fact, the American College of Allergists says that 50% of illnesses are caused or aggravated by polluted indoor air.
Taking control of your indoor air quality can help you reduce pollutants that contribute to headaches, lung irritation and fatigue as well as more long-term conditions such as asthma, allergies and infectious diseases.
The key to improving indoor air quality is installing a system designed to remove common contaminants like dust, pollen, microbials, particulates and more. Indoor air quality can also be improved by ensuring humidity levels are maintained, especially through the drier winter months when heating systems can dry out indoor air.
Indoor Air Quality Facts
People spend 75-90% of their time indoors.
Exposure to airborne contamination is considerable.
50% of all major office buildings have contaminated heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC). If not properly maintained, they are a hotbed for growth of molds and bacteria.
Each person inhales over 3,500 gallons of air each day. Children inhale more particles for their size then adolescents or adults.
Polluted air causes 94% of all respiratory problems.
More than 31 million Americans have been diagnosed with asthma, about 1/3 are children under 18.
About 40,000 dust mites, a common household allergen, can live in one ounce of dust.
An estimated 10-15% of the entire population may be allergic to cat or dog dander.
A person sheds up to 700,000 skin flakes per day.

Advanced Oxidation System
What is Oxidation?
Oxidation is a chemical reaction in which an element or ion is increased in positive valence, losing electrons to an oxidizing agent. To oxidize is to change a substance by chemical reaction by combining it with oxygen such as fire or rust. Oxidation processes can be used to kill bacteria, mold, and viruses. They are also routinely used to react with odor causing chemicals (VOC's = Volatile Organic Compounds), and other inorganic and organic chemicals. The oxidizers created during advanced oxidation processes are much more effective than traditional oxidants at reacting with these types of compounds. By utilizing redundant oxidizers, the speed and efficiency of the oxidation process is greatly increased, in some cases over 40 times.
How Does it Work?
The Guardian Air will reduce or eliminate:
- Smoke odors
- Cooking odors
- Pet odors
- Trash odors
- "Musty" or Stale Air smells
- Paint odors
- Chemical odors
The most important thing about Guardian Air is its proactive ability to kill germs and reduce odors in the conditioned space. These units don't need the pollutants to travel through the duct work to be neutralized. Every time your fan blows air it carries the purifying power of natures "Friendly Oxidizers" out into the conditioned space where the "Friendly Oxidizers" begin to attack the Bacteria, Virus, Mold Spores at the source and reduce odors in your home.
Take the human sneeze as an example. Germs come out with a sneeze at 100mph.
With the Guardian Air REME Halo installed, 99% of the germs in a sneeze were neutralized before the germs could make it 3 feet.
The REME HALO by RGF® is the next generation of IAQ technology. RGF has redesigned their REME HVAC unit with higher Ionized Hydro-peroxide output, which gives faster kill rates for microbials in the air as well as on surfaces. Also, this higher output drops more particulate from the air bringing relief to those who suffer from allergies and other respiratory issues.
We recommend RGF brand name products.
Whole House Air Cleaners
The EPA has named indoor air pollution as one of the top 5 environmental risks to public health. The EPA also reports that indoor air can be up to one hundred times more polluted than the air outside. One hundred times! And while you are offered many options - standard 1" furnace filters, portable purifiers and ionizers - there's only one truly effective solution: an Aprilaire Whole-House Air Cleaner.
Don't just treat the symptoms - remove the problems from the air in every room of your house - from your bedroom to your basement with an air cleaning system from Aprilaire - the leader in whole-home air cleaning technology.
What is a Whole-Home Air Cleaner?
There are many types of air cleaners (also referred to as air purifiers or ionizers) on the market today but none are as effective and clean your entire house as well as an Aprilaire Air Cleaning system. Aprilaire Whole-Home Air Cleaners make your air as clean as possible by removing particulates from your air, allowing you to breathe healthier air - important to those with allergies and asthma and for those who want the cleanest air possible for themselves and their family. Mold & Mildew
How Does It Work?
Aprilaire Whole-House Air Cleaners are installed as part of your home's central heating and cooling system - completely out of your way and out-of-sight. That means each and every time your system runs, the air in your home is filtered through our state-of-the-art filter media removing potentially harmful contaminants from every room of your home.
The resulting clean air is then distributed via your heating and cooling system's ductwork to your entire home. Best yet, the system is easy to maintain with infrequent maintenance only required every 1-2 years unlike portable units that require monthly care or standard filters that need cleaning every 1-3 months.
Aprilaire Model 5000 Whole-Home Electronic Air Cleaner
The Aprilaire Model 5000 Whole-Home Electronic Air Cleaner has been rated #1 three years running by a leading products ratings magazine for some very good reasons: It electronically charges particles and traps them like a magnet better than any other air cleaner - using 72 square feet of Aprilaire-branded filtering media. The Model 5000 is tried, true, and tested - delivering the highest efficiency possible.
Installed by your HVAC professional as part of your central heating and cooling system, the Aprilaire Model 5000 Electronic Air Cleaner can help give you the cleanest, healthiest air in every room of your home.
We recommend Aprilaire brand name products.

Unlike competitive electronic air cleaners there is never a need for the frequent and time-consuming cleaning or washing of collector cells
Whole House Humidifiers
Protect your family and your home from the unhealthy and damaging effects of over-dry air. Dry nose, cracked, itchy skin, and sore throats. Aggravated allergy and asthma symptoms. Painful static shocks. Chipping paint and plaster. Splitting or cracked wood floors, furniture, trim and molding.
Turning your temperature up in the wintertime will keep you warm but won't increase your home's humidity level. Daily activities such as showering, cooking and doing laundry don't produce enough moisture to keep your home's air from being too dry. According to medical experts, many viruses thrive in low humidity increasing the likelihood of catching colds, flu and upper respiratory ailments. The American Society of Otolaryngology even reports that it is important to prevent an overly dry environment because it makes people more susceptible to infection.
A Whole-Home Humidifier from Aprilaire, installed by your heating and cooling professional, will deliver the perfect amount of moisture to your air making you feel more comfortable at lower thermostat settings.
How It Works
An Aprilaire Whole-House Humidifier is installed directly to your central new or existing heating and cooling system. Humidity is introduced into your home's air in the form of water vapor, which prevents minerals from entering the air in your home and potentially into your lungs. Water is supplied to the distribution tray, allowing it to flow evenly across the Aprilaire Water Panel®. The resulting humidified air is then distributed via your heating and cooling system ductwork throughout your home.
Aprilaire Model 700 Whole-House Humidifier
Big humidification performance to match the biggest homes: the Model 700.
The Aprilaire Model 700 Whole-House Humidifier features truly automatic control, so there's never a need to manually control the humidifier-though it can be installed in manual mode, if desired.
We recommend Aprilaire brand name products.
Complementing any central heating and cooling system, the Aprilaire Model 700 Whole-House Humidifier:
Utilizes an outdoor temperature sensor for monitoring even the slightest changes in outdoor temperature
Delivers up to 50% more moisture in comparison to competitive units
Has an evaporation capacity of 0.75 gallons per hour-among the highest capacity humidifiers sold
Humidifies tightly-constructed homes up to 4,200 square feet in size
